Investment Classes | What is OptionsWest?

The OptionsWest equiFund starts each year with a $100,000 balance and works to demonstrate the OptionsWest style covered call trading strategy. This strategy has a goal of compounding monthly returns to meet its objective of a 50% annual return on investment. This webpage is updated monthly to keep everyone apprised of the progress and status of the fund. See the monthly trades and numbers below.

2009 was the first year for the "equiFund" and was actually managed by my 22 year old daughter, having recently graduated from college with a degree in Foreign Language. The goal was to see how well someone with no trading experience could perform using our stratagem. She had to administer the account while working full time and spent about four hours per month managing the account. The experiment was a success as you can see!
